GOHS Student Orientation
Student Orientation is a time for students to pick up their schedules, receive locker information (optional), pick up parking tags, tour the building, and meet members of various student clubs.
The days and times are listed below, with a makeup evening time for all grade levels on Monday, August 5th. Please note that the orientation on Monday evening is a come-and-go event at your convenience.
For Freshmen (ninth graders), orientation starts at 8 am in the auditorium. There will be a class meeting for all of the Freshmen at the same time and then the Freshmen will be divided into smaller groups to attend various activities.
Parents should plan on dropping Freshmen off by 8 am in the back of the school. While Freshmen Orientation will be a student only event, we will have two parent information sessions on August 2nd from 8 am – 9 am and another from 11 am – 12 pm in the main gym.
Thursday, August 1st
- Juniors 8 am – 11 am
- Sophomores 1 pm – 4 pm
Friday, August 2nd
- Freshmen 8 am – 12 pm
- All Freshmen will report to the auditorium at 8 am
- Parent information sessions will be in the main gym from 8 am – 9 am and 11 am – 12 pm
Monday, August 5th
- Makeup 9th – 11th Grades 6 – 8 pm
